Product description
Sodium lauryl sulfate is a white or yellowish viscous substance widely used in various industrial applications, including detergents and the textile industry. As an anionic surfactant, it easily dissolves in water and is compatible with both anionic and nonionic compounds. It offers excellent emulsifying, foaming, penetrating, cleaning, and dispersing properties, making it a key ingredient in a wide range of products such as toothpaste, shampoos, hair conditioners, laundry detergents, liquid soaps, cosmetics, and plastic mold release agents. Additionally, it finds applications in lubrication, pharmaceuticals, papermaking, construction materials, and the chemical industry.
Product Performance and Application
Sodium lauryl sulfate has excellent emulsifying, foaming, and water-soluble properties. It is biodegradable, alkali-resistant, and hard water-resistant. Additionally, it remains stable in aqueous solutions over a wide pH range and is easy to synthesize.
Sodium lauryl sulfate is widely used as a foaming agent in toothpaste and an active cleaning ingredient in shampoos, liquid soaps, and metal cleaners, sodium lauryl sulfate also serves as an air-entraining foaming agent in the construction industry. Moreover, it functions as an emulsifier in PVC paste resins, a foaming agent for mine fire extinguishing, a rubber foaming agent, and an intermediate in pharmaceuticals.
